Universities and colleges set their own admission requirements for higher education courses, so they vary broadly. Depending on the course, students may be able to get into higher education with a range of qualifications. If you're applying to do a course, you may find that work experience is taken into consideration alongside any qualifications you have. Some higher education institutes and colleges offer courses as preparation for a certain type of degrees. They usually don't result in separate criteria as they simply qualify you to enter the degree program itself. Courses can be taught in a broad selection of fields of study.
As the highest level of pilot licensure, an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) allows civilian pilots to fly some of the largest aircraft while being the Pilot-in-Command. An ATPL requires that pilots hold a commercial pilot license (CPL), 1500 flight hours, and are able to pass the theory papers.

CAE’s Integrated Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) programmes takes students with little or no previous flying experience to a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) level with a 'frozen ATPL' and Multi-Engine Instrument rating (MEIR) in approximately 18 months and have been designed in conjunction with leading airlines.
Our Integrated ATPL – Madrid programme lets you train in 3 of our global locations, with ground school in Madrid, Spain, and flight training in Phoenix, USA and Oxford, UK.

This ATPL program will allow you to obtain an ATPL license step by step, in a modular approach through a series of individual courses and licenses that you can take according to your own schedule and needs. Because you can get credit for previous aeronautical experience that you may have, this program will allow you to tailor your ATPL training to your actual situation, taking advantage of any license you may already hold. Because each module or course is independent from the others, and will provide you with an individual license or qualification, you don’t need to take them all at once. Instead, you can set the pace at which you will undertake each module and acquire all the knowledge and experience required to qualify for your ATPL license, which you will obtain once you have completed all the modules. Along the way, you will also obtain all the individual qualifications such as PPL, CPL, ME-IR and MCC, after completing each module. Barcelona Flight School is an authorized centre by the Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea under EASA Part-FCL with the ATO number E-ATO-037 to provide flight training, with over 60 years of experience....

The Integrated ATPL(A) Program is an Airline Transport Pilot course completed with an MCC in an Airbus A320 or Beechcraft King Air B200, addressed to those who are real serious about getting an airline job. This program is an ab-initio course addressed to all those future pilots that wish to obtain a CPL (Commercial Pilot License) with the ME (Multi-engine) and IR (Instrument) ratings, along with the theoretical knowledge required towards an ATP License. Also within the program, the student will complete the MCC (Multi-crew Coordination) training required to act as an FO (First Officer) in multi-pilot transport category aircraft, essential in order to be employed by an Airline, at our partner facilities. Besides, flight students of the Integrated ATPL Program have exclusive access to a number of options designed to make this course the safest investment, helping you to overcome all the hurdles of aeronautical training while preparing you to be ready for an airline interview in the shortest possible timespan....
