Courses in Coastal and Marine Management in Iceland

You can usually take higher education courses if you’re 18 or older. They’re regularly taught in universities, colleges and professional institutions such as art schools or agricultural colleges - nearly all of which have their own websites. You can get a wide range of skills, for example, diplomas, bachelor degrees, foundation degrees and post-graduate degrees.

Students who pursue an education in coastal and marine management can learn how to develop solutions for conserving the world’s oceans, seas and coastal zones. Careers may be found in environmental consultancies, government agencies and research institutions.

One characteristic of Iceland's higher education system is a four-year course. After completion of undergraduate degree, The University of Icleand often have scholarships for those students who may want to further studies to master’s and doctorate levels. It is based in Vesturbær, Reykjavik and was founded in 1911.
