WHAT IS AN ADVISOR SOMMELLERIE?
The Sommelier Advisor is the selection of products to offer its clients: wines and spirits. Before deciding to negotiation with suppliers, it must first conduct the tasting. The supply must be in line with the context, scale, brand awareness and customer requirements. It thus establishes the wine list, after evaluation and compiled their year of issue. It must ensure the management of all alcohol available on the market. It also advises the client on the wine accompanying dishes. There is capacity to serve or to explain the wine service to customers.
And from a technical point of view, it must understand the principles of grapes and production of wine, knowing the great wines and renowned wine producers and the different types of wines and their respective characteristics.
In general, we find "Consultants Sommelier" in the catering staff, trading, manufacturing, tourism, commercial structures or distribution whose functions are to select wines, negotiate terms financial, present and advise directly or indirectly, with customers and consumers.
The consultant sommelier is an expert on wines, spirits, liqueurs, champagnes. His knowledge allows him to advise clients based on their tastes, their desires and their means. It also handles inventory management in the enterprise. He advises companies in wines that will be on the restaurant menu or in a place of sale.
TRAINING AIMS
Prepare Advisor Sommelier diploma, enrolled in the National Directory of Professional Certifications
Acquire the following skills:
- Find and select wines
- Taste wines and alcohols
- Manage cellars and develop business deals
- Advisor of wines and alcoholic beverages
- Organize promotional events and conduct wine tastings

Have obtained a diploma level IV
Training duration:
- 567 hours distributed between September 2017 and June 2018, training beginning September 4, 2017
- 280 hours of practical training in business
