Introduction
The Degree Apprenticeship in Electronic Design offers an innovative way of training the next generation of skilled industrial workers. Apprentices work as part of an Electronics team and gain in-depth knowledge and skills in electronic engineering design. Apprentices are critical thinkers and independent learners, able to solve complex design and engineering-related problems individually and in teams. Validated by Bournemouth University, accredited by the Institution of Engineering Designers (IED) and delivered by Bournemouth & Poole College, the Apprenticeship has high industrial relevance and close ties with the requirements of local industry. Apprentices will work on ‘live’ projects and assignments related to and based on real experiences within their organisation.
