Introduction

Prepare for a high-tech manufacturing career with Gateway’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology associate degree program. Advanced manufacturing combines mechanical, electronic and information technology to streamline the manufacturing process through intelligent automation. Advanced manufacturing facilities use advanced software and robotics technology to make their processes as efficient as possible. If you enjoy troubleshooting technology and working hands-on with machinery, this program is for you.

Learning By Doing

Students in the Advanced Manufacturing Technology program will graduate with a wide range of hands-on skills and experience using the tools, equipment and technology used in advanced manufacturing facilities, including FANUC robots, hydraulics and pneumatics equipment, Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLCs, automated process equipment, Snap-on Multimeters, Textronix oscilloscopes, and Starrett Precision measuring instruments. You’ll also gain real-world experience programming CNC machining centers, troubleshooting computer networks, programming and interfacing Rockwell PLCs, and interfacing digital logic circuits.

You’ll graduate prepared to earn industry-recognized certifications including Snap-on Hand Tool Safety, Snap-on Multimeter, OSHA 10, and Starrett Precision Measurement.
