Introduction

The famous anthropologist Ruth Benedict once shared, "The purpose of anthropology is to make the world safe for human differences." Heartland's curriculum draws on global examples and focuses on humans' development about their physical and social environment. You'll explore the broad variations of cultural expressions as well as their common characteristics.

The courses offered are Introduction to Cultural Anthropology and Introduction to General Anthropology.
