Do you like to solve problems and explore new technology? If so, LCC's Information Technology (IT) program might be for you! Because technology is a part of virtually every industry, this career path has many varieties and many advancement opportunities. In this program, you will get the mix of education and technical certifications employers want for positions in network and infrastructure support, software development, systems security, customer technical support, and more.
The fields of information technology and computer science are continuously growing and changing. There are many different long-term career options within this path, including many with excellent salaries, advancement opportunities, and the chance to work with cutting-edge technology. Students who attend full-time can earn an associate degree in information technology or computer science in six quarters (two academic years). There is also a direct transfer degree option that specifically prepares students for Washington State University Vancouver's computer science program.
