Cosmetology Reid State Technical College

The Cosmetology program provides the skills and knowledge to enter a career in hair and beauty. The faculty is committed to providing Cosmetology education and training to students from diverse backgrounds and abilities on a non-discriminatory basis. The Cosmetology facility seeks improved quality of life for all students by providing flexible learning opportunities, personal development, and technological specialization.

The certificate program is designed to produce graduates who, when licensed, are prepared for an entry-level career as a natural hair stylist, esthetician, makeup technician, hair colour technician, chemical technician, nail specialist, manicurist, retail sales representative, receptionist, or hairstylist. Other careers that may be obtained through further education in the cosmetology field are beauty consultants for publishing, salon owner, educational specialist, or platform artist.
